Passive Voice – Simple Present Tense: Rumus dan Contoh Soal

Rumus Passive Voice – Simple Present Tense

Berbeda dengan active voice – simple present tense yang main verb-nya berupa verb-1 (pada contoh tulisan sebelumnya: simple present tense), main verb pada passive voice – simple present tense berupa past participle (verb-3).

Past participle ditemani oleh auxiliary verb is/am/are disesuaikan dengan subject pada passive voice (= object pada active voice) agar memenuhi subject-verb agreement. Is digunakan pada singular subject kecuali you dan Iare pada plural subject dan you; sementara am pada I.

Jika ada modal verb (seperti: can, should, may), past participle di dahului oleh auxiliary verb “be”.

  5. nesya

    kak mau tanya dong,

untuk kebiasaan yg sering dilakukan , tapi hari ini aku belum melakukannya , jad misakan aku itu biasanya belajar dirumah, tapi hari ini aku belum belajar ,

    ex:
    aku belum belajar hari ini

kalimatnya pake simple present ya ?
kepikiran sama “haven’t” apakah pake present perfect

    1. Wilma Yulia

Maaf banget Nesya baru balas 🙁

Untuk sesuatu yang belum dilakukan tapi normalnya dilakukan atau harus dilakukan dan ada kemungkinan untuk dilakukan nantinya, saya cenderung present perfect tense Nesya 🙂 kayak “I haven’t studied yet today”. Semoga membantu.

  6. Johan Maullete

Terimakasih mbak Wilma yang baik telah berbagi ilmunya,,, semoga Tuhan memberkati

    1. Wilma Yulia

Aamiin sama-sama Johan. Semoga kemampuan bahasa Inggris kita terus meningkat ya ^_^

  7. singgih amri rambe

jadi kak untuk tanpa kata kerja gunakan “be” baru kata sifat dan bila menggunakan kata kerja “gunakan is/ame/are” baru verb3 (participle)
    bisa dibuatkan kak contohnya..
meatball are eaten the next he sleeps )passve voice
    dan bisa dikoreksi ibu/bapak

    1. Wilma Yulia

Halo Singgih maaf baru balas 🙁

Be itu base form, is/am/are itu simple present (v-1) dari be, simple pastnya (v-2) was/were. Verb “be” sebagai linking verb (main verb) diikuti adjective, noun, atau konstruksi lain yang berfungsi sebagai adjective atau noun. Past participle (v-3) dapat berfungsi sebagai verb (salah satunya digunakan dalam konstruksi pasif) atau verbal (sebagai adjective).

      Contoh:

I am tired. (past participle sebagai adjective)
I am paid less than my coworkers. (past participle sebagai verb)

      Semoga membantu 🙂

    1. Wilma Yulia

great ^^ makasih feedbacknya ya Sandr..semoga terus semangat ningkatin kemampuan bahasa Inggris

  8. Deby

hay mba..aku terbantu banget sama soal latihan tensesnya..
aku ingin tanya utk soal no.3 itu tobe dari “they” bukannya “are”? mohon penjelasannya ya mba..soalnya aku masih banyak belajar lagi soal tenses..Thanks 🙂

    1. Wilma Yulia

halo Deby..senang bisa bantu kamu lewat soal ini 😀

Karena they itu plural, maka memang butuh plural verb juga seperti “are”..tapi di soal ini, pada versi passive construction, subjectnya berupa objek pada active construction dan intranet merupakan singular subjek, maka verb yang digunakan singular juga, yaitu “is” 🙂

  9. R.D.A

Mba wilma little money apakah memang termasuk singular dan bukannya plurar?
Karena kalau dr segi bahasa kan artinya sedikit uang dan itu berarti menyatakan lebih dr selembar (satu) uang.
    Terimakasih

  10. risyan

hahaha waduh saya di tipu sama v3 nya hahaha… mantap mantap tingkat kan lgi kawan… sya suka artikel nya…

  11. stev

the programmer position is advertised in the times union

    gimana ke kalimat aktif/pasif diubahnya

    1. Wilma Yulia

Waduh belum dijelasin ya disitu. Am untuk Subject (passive) “I”, is untuk third person noun (Budi, mother) atau pronoun (she, he, it), dan are untuk “you” dan plural noun (people, cars)atau pronoun (we, they).

  12. Ahmad Rovicky

The right side of the bed is often slept ON by him… Apakah “ON” perlu ditulis, dan apa fungsinya?
Bgmn dg contoh ini, I often eat at home… Home is often eaten at by me… Betulkah..

    1. Wilma Yulia

Iya perlu ditulis, itu formulasi prepositional passive

S (Object of Preposition) + auxiliary verb + past participle (intransitive) + preposition

terus coba aja ngobrol ama native english speaker, kadang-kadang ada preposition ketinggalan diujung haha

hmm.. Tidak semua intransitive verb bisa object of prepositional phrase nya dipasifkan, hanya unergative verb (tipe intransitive verb). Saya belum mempelajari mendalam ttg unergative verb tsb, namun kalo dilihat eat sepertinya bukan karena kalimatnya jadi tidak make sense sama sekali.

  13. KayoChi

Hallo ba wilma, mau nanya lg nih :)… buat contoh yang pertama yang wanita hamil. Itu bukan simple past future?..

    1. Wilma Yulia

salah heading Kayochi maaf.. saya perjelas ya itu passive voice untuk kalimat dengan modal verb.

    1. Wilma Yulia

sama-sama Diman… semoga kemampuan bahasa Inggris kita terus bertambah ya 🙂

    1. Wilma Yulia

Sama-sama Fajar..saya seneng banget kamu terbantu dengan postingan ini 🙂

    1. Wilma Yulia

Maksudnya gak disebutin pelaku aksi sebenarnya ya.. yang pake “by …” gitu Yopi?
Justru yang lebih umum digunakan dalam bahasa Inggris yang begitu..namanya agentless/short passive. Ada beberapa alasan gak nyebutin agent, antara lain: agent tidak diketahui, dianggap tidak penting atau tidak menarik, atau untuk menghindari tanggungjawab (biasanya pada laporan yang berhubungan dengan pemerintahan). Boleh dilihat: http://www.wordsmile.com/panduan-belajar-passive-voice 🙂

    1. Wilma Yulia

Saya senang sekali kamu jadi ngerti active-passive voice. Semoga bisa diaplikasikan 🙂
