Rumus Passive Voice Simple Future Tense

Berbeda dengan active voice simple future tense yang main verb-nya berupa bare infinitive (pada contoh tulisan sebelumnya: Simple Future Tense), main verb pada passive voice – simple future tense berupa past participle (verb-3).

Ada dua kemungkinan rumus simple future tense pada active voice, begitu pula pada passive voice.

1. Past participle ditemani oleh auxiliary verb “will” dan “be” apapun subjek kalimatnya.
2. Past participle ditemani phrasal modal “be (am/is/are) going to” dan auxiliary verb “be”. Be pada phrasal modal disesuaikan dengan subject pada passive voice (= object pada active voice) — memenuhi subject-verb agreement. Is digunakan pada singular subject kecuali you dan I; are pada plural subject dan you; sementara am pada I.

Berikut rumus passive voice dalam simple future tense:

Active Voice

• S + will + bare infinitive + direct object
• S + am/is/are going to + bare infinitive + direct object

Passive Voice

• S (direct object) +will + be + past participle +/- by … (agent)
• S (direct object) + am/is/are going to + be + past participle +/- by … (agent)

Agent (pelaku aksi) pada passive voice pada kedua kemungkinan tersebut merupakan subject pada active voice. Pada passive voice, subject bertindak sebagai penerima aksi, sedangkan agent sebagai pelaku aksi.

Rumus di atas berlaku untuk transitive verb, dimana memang kata kerja tersebut yang umum dipasifkan.

Contoh Kalimat Passive Voice Simple Future Tense

1. I will wash the dishes.
   (Saya akan mencuci piring.)

   The dishes will be washed.
   (Piring akan dicuci.)

2. They are going to invest a small amount of their money in the stock market.
   (Mereka akan menginvestasikan sedikit uang mereka di pasar saham.)

   A small amount of their money is going to be invested in the stock market.
   (Sedikit uang mereka akan diinvestasikan di pasar saham.)

3. Dino will show you something interesting.
   (Dino akan menunjukkan padamu sesuatu yang menarik.)

   You will be shown something interesting.
   (Kamu akan ditunjukkan sesuatu yang menarik.)

4. His assistant will prepare and edit your legal documents.
   (Asistennya akan mempersiapkan dan memperbaiki dokumen-dokumen hukummu.)

   Your legal documents will be prepared and edited.
   (Dokumen-dokumen hukummu akan dipersiapkan dan diperbaiki.)

5. He is going to meet a new client tomorrow.
   (Dia akan bertemu seorang klien baru besok.)

   A new client is going to be met tomorrow.
   (Seorang klien baru akan ditemui besok.)
