It was Sarah … couldn’t stop fooling around
kenpa ini pakai nya that ya kk bukannya whom karena sarah sebagai objek,
boleh juga sih that jika pakainya memang who bukan whom karena that berlau untuk who maupun whom juga dan di pilgan tidak ada pilihan who
mohon penjelasannya kenapa pakai who bukan whom
bisa diinfokan ke email ya ka agar saya bisa buka
Hal Lizatun, maaf banget baru balas 🙁
Sarah itu di dalam main clause tsb bukanlah object. Strukturnya menggunakan expletive construction:
It + be (is/was) + noun + subordinate clause
Pada expletive construction tsb, it merupakan empty word yang menunda “the real subject” Sarah.
Tampak bahwa bagian subordinate clause subjectnya belum ada. Who merupakan subject dari “couldn’t stop fooling around” (fool around = intransitive verb) yang menerangkan subject “Sarah”.
Semoga membantu Lizatun 🙂

masih bingung perbedaan penggunaan relative pronoun yg ada to atau for di depannya. bisa djelasin lagi gk min? mksih
Maaf baru balas Deny. Kadang memang relative pronoun digunakan sebagai object dari preposition (contoh: to, for, in).
Kuncinya lihat verb pada bagian relative clause nya Deny, perlu atau tidak menggunakan preposition.
Contoh:
Complex sentence: He is the one for whom I am waiting.
Relative clause: for whom I’m waiting
whom: object of preposition “for”
sebenarnya for itu memaknai “waiting for”, namun “for” nya di taruh di depan relative clause, mendahului whom (si object nya).
Semoga membantu ^^
