Pengertian Untriggered Reflexive Pronoun

Untriggered reflexive pronoun adalah reflexive pronoun yang tidak tepat ataupun dibutuhkan untuk menempati posisi seperti subject atau object di dalam suatu kalimat.

Myself yang cenderung terdengar lebih berat dan formal daripada I atau me ini menjadi pelaku utama untriggered reflexive pronoun.

Contoh Kalimat Untriggered Reflexive Pronoun

1. Rifki and myself I are worried about our retirement savings.
   (Rifki dan saya khawatir tentang tabungan pensiun kami.)
2. He finally persuaded myself me to join the club.
   (Dia akhirnya membujuk saya untuk bergabung dengan kelompok tersebut.)

Reflexive pronoun tepat digunakan jika subject menerima aksi verb (reciprocal action), atau dengan kata lain subject dan object merupakan orang yang sama.

Contoh Kalimat Reflexive Pronoun

1. I can take care of me myself.
   (Saya bisa mengurus diri sendiri.)
2. I need to prepare me myself for the phone interview.
   (Saya perlu mempersiapkan diri untuk interview via telepon tersebut.)
