Rumus Wh- Question Past Continuous Tense

Berikut beberapa rumus wh- question (pertanyaan yang dimulai dengan what, where, when, why, which, who, whose, atau how) dengan past continuous tense yang dibentuk dari auxiliary verb “be” (was/were) dan present participle (verb-ing).

Kalimat Positif (+)

S + be(was/were) + present participle

Kalimat Interogatif (?)

menanyakan subject

  • Who/What + be(was/were) + present participle
  • Whose/Which + noun + be(was/were) + present participle

menanyakan object

  • Who/What + be(was/were) + S + present participle
  • Whose/Which + noun + be(was/were) + S + present participle

menanyakan adverb

  • When/Where/Why + be(was/were) + S + present participle
  • How + adverb(well/fast/…) + be(was/were) + S + present participle

    (Dimana mereka membaca buku-buku berkebun jam 10?)

Contoh Soal Wh- Question Past Continuous Tense

Buatlah wh- question dari kalimat past continuous tense di bawah ini.

  1. They were working at seven o'clock this morning.

  2. The operator was thinking about food when pressing the button.
