Rumus Wh- Question dengan Present Continuous Tense

Berikut beberapa rumus wh- question (pertanyaan yang dimulai dengan what, where, when, why, which, who, whose, atau how) dengan present continuous tense yang dibentuk dari auxiliary verb “be” (is/am/are) dan present participle (-ing form) sebagai kata kerjanya.

Kalimat Positif (+)

S + be (is/am/are) + present participle

Kalimat Interogatif (?)

menanyakan subject

  • Who/What + be (is/am/are) + present participle
  • Whose/Which + noun + be (is/am/are) + present participle

menanyakan object

  • Who/What + be (is/am/are) + S + present participle
  • Whose/Which + noun + be (is/am/are) + S + present participle

menanyakan adverb

  • When/Where/Why + be (is/am/are) + S + present participle
  • How + adverb (well/fast/…) + be (is/am/are) + S + present participle

    (Dia sedang tidur di kamar saudara saya.)

    menanyakan subject

    Who is sleeping in my brother’s bedroom?
    (Siapa yang sedang tidur di kamar saudara saya?)

    menanyakan object ~ possessive (of preposition “in”)

    Whose bedroom is he sleeping in?
    (Dia sedang tidur di kamar siapa?)

    menanyakan adverb

      (Dia sedang tidur dimana?)
    • Why is he sleeping in my brother’s bedroom?
      (Kenapa dia tidur di lantai dua?)

    (Vera akan tiba dari Seoul besok.)

    (Kapan Vera tiba dari Seoul?)
