Pengertian Positive Degree
Positive degree adalah adjective (kata sifat) atau adverb (kata keterangan) dalam bentuk sederhana.
Perbandingan pada Positive Degree
Positive degree merupakan satu dari tiga degrees of comparison (selain comparative dan superlative degree). Degree of comparison merupakan bentuk adjective atau adverb yang menunjukkan perbandingan. Pada comparative dan superlative degree, bentuk sederhana dari adjective dan adverb berubah mengikuti pola tertentu, lain halnya dengan positive degree yang tetap dalam bentuk sederhana.

Untuk menyatakan perbandingan, positive degree harus berada di dalam correlative conjunction as … as.
Contoh Kalimat Positive Degree dan Artinya
- The task is not as difficult as you imagine.
(Tugas itu tidak sesulit yang kamu bayangkan.) adjective - Asking for forgiveness isn’t always as easy as saying, “I’m sorry”.
(Meminta maaf tidak selalu semudah mengatakan, “Maafkan saya”.) adjective - I think I have as many friends as him.
(Saya pikir saya memiliki teman sebanyak dirinya.) adjective - He drives as carefully as my father in the residential area.
(Dia menyetir sehati-hati ayah saya di kawasan perumahan.) adverb - I can’t drive as fast as they want.
(Saya tidak dapat mengemudi secepat yang mereka inginkan.) adverb - I don’t travel as much as my brother.
(Saya tidak bepergian sebanyak saudara laki-laki saya.) adverb - My new assistant can write reports as quickly as we can.
(Asisten baru saya dapat menulis laporan secepat kita.) adverb
