Pengertian Leach dan Leech

Leach dan leech adalah homophone, yaitu kata-kata yang pelafalannya sama namun maknanya berbeda.

Verb “leach” berarti “to remove (a chemical, a metal, a mineral, etc) from a substance by percolation” {menghilangkan (bahan kimia, logam, mineral, dll) dari suatu zat melalui perembesan} atau “to release (a chemical, a metal, a mineral etc.) by percolation” (melepaskan (bahan kimia, logam, mineral, dll) melalui perembesan).

Verb “leech” bermakna “to bleed with leeches or to behave like a leech” (mengambil darah dengan lintah atau bertingkah seperti lintah) dan noun leech mengarah pada “a bloodsucking worm or to a person that clings to another” (lintah atau orang yang menjadi parasit dari orang lain) atau dan.
