Halo Shabriya. Definite article “the” bisa dihilangkan pada predicative adjective ( adjective yang posisinya setelah noun yang diterangkannya dengan dipisahkan oleh linking verb).

The superlative form is used for more than two people, things, or states, when one thing has qualities that exceed all the others. Superlative adjectives have the in front of them, but it can be omitted in predicative positions.
*That is the smallest camera I have ever seen.
*He gave the least expensive gift to his sister.

hi kak.. makasih banyak artikelnya sangat membantu. Mau tanya, kalau untuk superlative itu biasanya ada penggunaan partikel “the” ya sebelum kata sifatnya. Apakah itu keharusan?

Halo Kayla,

Adjective (kata sifat) untuk menerangkan noun/pronoun,
*She is beautiful. (mendeskripsikan pronoun “she”)
*That’s a good question. (menjelaskan noun “question”)

sedangkan adverb (kata keterangan) untuk menerangkan verb, adjective, atau adverb lain.
*He drives well. (menerangkan verb “drives”)
*You’re very beautiful. (menerangkan adjective “beautiful”)
*He spoke so softly that we couldn’t hear him. (menerangkan adverb “softly”)
