Pengertian Adverb of Time

Adverb of time adalah adverb (kata keterangan) yang digunakan untuk menyatakan waktu terjadinya suatu kegiatan atau peristiwa. When merupakan kata tanya yang dapat digunakan untuk mengajukan pertanyaan untuk menunjukkan adverb of time.

Contoh kalimat adverb of time (kata keterangan waktu): I saw her yesterday. (Saya bertemu dengannya kemarin.)

(Mereka sudah memesan meja itu.)
di akhir atau awal kalimat Today we see climate change everywhere.
(Saat ini kita menjumpai perubahan iklim di mana-mana.)

(Saya tidak akan memasak hari ini.)

Selain adverb, prepositional phrase seperti since … dan before … dapat pula menyatakan waktu. Adverb dan prepositional phrase yang menyatakan waktu tersebut disebut adverbial of time. Berikut beberapa contohnya.

  • since 1983 (sejak 1983), since yesterday (sejak kemarin)

  • tomorrow (besok), tomorrow morning (besok pagi)
  • tonight (malam ini)
  • yesterday (kemarin), yesterday morning/afternoon/night (kemarin pagi/siang/malam)

(Dia miskin pada saat itu.)
7 They’re arriving tomorrow.

8 It rained heavily yesterday afternoon, but tonight the sky is clear.

    1. Maaf keliru Faradillah.. sudah saya perbaiki dengan pakai simple past aja..jadi eliminasi “have” :)
      recently bisa dipakai pada berbagai tense seperti: simple past, present perfect, dan past continuous.
